Double First has added another feature to the website - RSS.
What is RSS, and what is the benefit to me?
RSS is an Internet feature whereby subscribers to Double First's website will receive automatic notification of relevant news or software update information, direct from the website.
Does it work with every Internet Browser?
Yes, but with one exception - Microsoft's Internet Explorer v6 which was replaced with v7 in 2006, and the upgrade is free.
First, check your Service Pack level by clicking on your My Computer icon, and selecting Properties. Under the General tab, the Service Pack level will be displayed. You need at least Service Pack 2. If it doesn't even show a Service Pack, you definitely need it!
To upgrade your Service Pack, click here.
Second, you can upgrade Internet Explorer from v6 to v7 on Microsoft's website, here.
How do I subscribe?
Click on the RSS logo on the right, and you will be taken to the RSS page.
In the yellow box at the top of the page, you have the ability to 'subscribe to this feed'.
How do I receive notification?
Depending upon the Feed settings in your browser, the norm is to be advised of an update within 24 hours.
