With its foundations in Management Information System and Accounting software for UK Independent schools, Double First has a large and growing customer base.

Working with Development Partners

Two groups of Development Partners were created. One for the Engage MIS suite, the other for the Double First Accounts, Administration, and Payroll softwares.

Each group consists of six Independent schools of varying sizes. Working in collaboration with the Development Teams, the Partners ensure the products continue to deliver exactly what schools want.

Development History

With a software suite created by the Head of a Girls Independent School, the company was born in 1987.

In the mid-nineties, a new integrated Windows version of Accounts and Administration software was launched.

A new and strong name was needed for this suite, indicating the very best in education capability.

Double First was chosen - not just a mere pass, but the ultimate in examination success.

Double First continues on a strong development path.

Engage MIS software

In 2002, the decision was taken to develop a brand new MIS. Furthermore, it was decided that rather than just write a new front for the existing Double First suite, a completely new product would be created, written in languages of the future to ensure longevity, and powerful capability.

Engage was born.
