Software Tester – Entry Grade

We have opened a new vacancy for a Software Tester at Entry Grade. Based out of the Yeovil Office, the main purposes of this role is to examine the required behaviour against the actual behaviour of all Double First software products, reporting any discrepancies and collaborating with the developers and designers to ensure faults are eliminated.

Role Requirements include:

Technical Support Services Consultant (Shift Hours)

A Double First vacancy exists for a Technical Support Services Consultant (Shift Hours), based out of our Yeovil Office, to provide full technical support of Double First products used by schools, including implementation and post-implementation technical support. The role will also provide technical support for internal Double First systems, including liaison with third parties and other group companies where necessary. Plus maintaining our cloud hosting environments and providing excellent customer service.

After the initial training period, during which the working hours will be 0900-1700, normal working hours will change to 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 on a shift pattern, with some bank holiday cover. This shift pattern may change over time to include morning and Sunday shifts, so flexibility is the absolute key.

Role Requirements include:

  • Excellent IT literacy with sound working knowledge ofMS Office products including Office 365
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server including SQL backups and database restores
  • Sound working knowledge of networking technologiesand the ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issue between computers
  • Experience of setting up Remote Desktop technologies
  • Experience of dealing with NTFS sharing and Security Issues
  • Sound working knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems
  • Sound working knowledge of webserver technology such as IIS
  • Experience working with enterprise anti-malware products
  • Experience of VPN technologies
  • Working knowledge of AWS EC2 and VPC
  • Experience of producing technical documentation andcase notes in good written English
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexibly, under pressure, and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Excellent customer service abilities and instincts
  • Ability to work alone with minimum guidance after the training period
  • Driving licence and ability to drive cars in the UK and overseas to visit clients as required
  • Ability to work on-call per on-call policy and work contractual hours

Support Services Consultant – Finance

We are currently recruiting for a Support Services Consultant in our Finance team.

Based out of the Yeovil Office, the main purpose of this role is to provide full support and training of Double First products to all our customers ensuring excellence of customer service, quality of technical delivery and adherence to the company’s processes and systems.

The role will best suit those with a sound understanding and practical experience of accounting practice and will involve the working of early morning, day and night shifts on rotation.

Role requirements include

  • Excellent IT literacy with sound working
    knowledge of MS Office products (essential)
  • Basic Knowledge of working with MS SQL andusing Crystal Reports and Stimulsoft (desirable on application)
  • Sound working knowledge of Engage, Double First Accounts and Payroll (desirable on application but training will be given)
  • Sound understanding and practical experience of accounting practice
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexibly, under pressure, including a mix of own projects and management
  • Excellent customer service abilities and instincts
  • Good team worker
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
  • Clean driving licence and ability to drive cars in the UK and overseas to visit clients as required
  • Ability to travel overseas as required to visit international clients and company offices (desirable)
