Double First is set to welcome the latest recruit into its Engage school management information system training team this coming Monday.
Following military service specialising in signalling, Graham Brown forged a successful civilian career working in the UK and overseas within networking, IT and communications and is very familiar with school environments, having worked as an ICT Technician. He also has teaching experience with students and took a rest from bits and bytes for a while to launch a tree surgery business.
Graham will spend the first weeks of his time at Double First gearing up on his own product knowledge, before joining the front line of our very busy team of trainers who work within schools and remotely to upskill teachers, leaders and administrators in the many features of Engage. We know his broad experience will further strengthen our team and very much look forward to welcoming him onboard.
The Engage school management information system Support Team has launched a new Chat platform to enhance the company's Support Portal communication options.
"An incoming Chat request immediately places a pop-up notification on the screens of all Support Team members on shift," explains Phil Gibbons, the Engage MIS Support Manager. "We started with a soft launch of this new facility with a small number of customers and it’s been performing beyond expectation with support queries being resolved, quickly.

Bett 2019 is now well underway and we are there in force, but in a unique location.
Any exhibition can be a bit wearing on the feet; with around 850 exhibitors all vying for your attention on the show floor it's nice to get away from it all for a bit. That's where we step in with our guest suite, located up on the North Gallery above the show, in suite 4. You can access it between stands H80 and H90. Download your Bett 2019 guest lounge invitation here.
Free lunch and refreshments are on offer and you'll meet up with several key members of the team that develops and supports our Engage school management information system and school accounting software.

Earlier this year we ran a Pupil Takeover competition for students aged between 3-11 to design their very own homework buddy for the preparatory version of our Learning Management System, an online portal fully integrated within Engage.
A Homework Buddy is companion that can be a helpful reminder of the important things to do each week. We invited pupils and students to submit their designs for animals, people, or friendly talking objects to give a helping hand and we took hand-drawn and computer submissions.

A quick note to confirm the support hours of our UK headquarters team over the forthcoming holiday season.
We'll be working to our published Service Level Agreement for school support, which is tailored to the requirements we have gathered from schools right across the Engage family.
- The office will close Monday 24 December at 1700 GMT (UT).
- We will reopen for Engage MIS support at 0130 GMT Wednesday 2 January, at 0600 GMT the same day for technical support and 0830 GMT for our finance team.
We've been pleased to welcome no less than nine new staff members in recent weeks as a part of Double First's strategy to reinforce and increase the headquarters team that supports our Engage School Management System globally.
This expansion reflects the ongoing growth in adoption rate of Engage by many leading fee-paying schools, who recognise the flexibility of our school management system and are exploiting it in ever new and imaginative ways to enhance education and improve management of everything from administration to finance.
