Engage is taking great advantage of its centre stage headline sponsor stand at the Independent Schools' Bursars Association Annual Conference in Manchester, UK, by launching a new sports-themed campaign for the summer.
We're challenging ISBA visitors to ensure that their school finance and management information system software all play in one team. It's not all serious work though as we have a pro table football player on hand to challenge those that think they can manage a deft flick of the wrist for a win. We also have half-time (chocolate) oranges and refreshments on hand, whether you choose to play or not.

The latest release of the Engage school management information system has introduced a series of enhancements and improvements across the system, including integration of PayPal in the Portal and further GDPR focused features to enable schools to manage their data with the maximum flexibility and diligence.
Highlights of the release include:
- You can now Pay Invoices and Invoice Items through PayPal in the Portal
- The My Accounts Page has been updated to also show sub items within an invoice for both PayPal and non PayPal users

- For Australian International Schools we have introduced an option for an Additional Gender in the Engage Portal

We are delighted to announce that Double First has been appointed as the headline partner for the 2019 Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) Annual Conference on 21-22 May at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
ISBA's popular annual conference brings together many leading speakers offering latest information for schools, for an audience of over 500 bursars and senior management staff from independent schools. The event is complemented by an exhibition of more than 150 professional advisers and companies dedicated to providing high quality services to the education sector. Our Engage school management information system will take promonent place on the show floor.
More news will follow later in the year regarding our stand position and activities at ISBA 2019 - we look forward to meeting our many bursar and administrator friends there.
One of many popular features within our our Engage school information management system is the Daybook Marker system that is available in the Portal. These Markers allows any Daybook type to have an icon shown next to a Pupil or Student name when something is logged against them.
Working in response to school feedback, we often enhance features such as these as a part of our programme of continuous improvement. The Engage 2019.01 release adds a link to the information displayed when hovering over the Marker icon. If clicked, it takes you directly to the Daybook item, making it very quick to access further information and attachments that are stored against the record.

Double First is set to welcome the latest recruit into its Engage school management information system training team this coming Monday.
Following military service specialising in signalling, Graham Brown forged a successful civilian career working in the UK and overseas within networking, IT and communications and is very familiar with school environments, having worked as an ICT Technician. He also has teaching experience with students and took a rest from bits and bytes for a while to launch a tree surgery business.
Graham will spend the first weeks of his time at Double First gearing up on his own product knowledge, before joining the front line of our very busy team of trainers who work within schools and remotely to upskill teachers, leaders and administrators in the many features of Engage. We know his broad experience will further strengthen our team and very much look forward to welcoming him onboard.
The Engage school management information system Support Team has launched a new Chat platform to enhance the company's Support Portal communication options.
"An incoming Chat request immediately places a pop-up notification on the screens of all Support Team members on shift," explains Phil Gibbons, the Engage MIS Support Manager. "We started with a soft launch of this new facility with a small number of customers and it’s been performing beyond expectation with support queries being resolved, quickly.

Bett 2019 is now well underway and we are there in force, but in a unique location.
Any exhibition can be a bit wearing on the feet; with around 850 exhibitors all vying for your attention on the show floor it's nice to get away from it all for a bit. That's where we step in with our guest suite, located up on the North Gallery above the show, in suite 4. You can access it between stands H80 and H90. Download your Bett 2019 guest lounge invitation here.
Free lunch and refreshments are on offer and you'll meet up with several key members of the team that develops and supports our Engage school management information system and school accounting software.
