The Engage school management information system successfully underpins the operation of many leading schools in the Middle East. We've had a long and fruitful relationship with British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and very much look forward to attending the annual conference each year.
The 2016 edition of the BSME Conference will be held in Qatar from 7-11 March with a key theme of what it takes to be a future-ready school, led by the EdTechTeam. Our team will be there to play its part in the discussions that will no doubt arise from that and also to witness the BSME Conference Choir, coached by Dominic Peckham. The Double First team will be exhibiting at the Boarding Schools Association's Deputy Heads and Heads of Boarding Conference at the Grand Hotel in Brighton later this week on 28-29 January 2016.
Entitled 'Good, Better, Best, the conference is to feature several key presentation on the future development of boarding and school leaders. Television presenter Ben Fogle will offer his thoughts on how boarding helped him meet his challenges.

The Engage School App is being released in phases with the first being dedicated to parents. It enables quick and secure access to vital information such as timetabling, school notices, current fee balance and pupil and student reports.

The latest version of Double First's Engage school management information system is set for release this week as a part of our programme of continual improvement in response to school feedback.
Engage MIS v2016.01 includes improvements and additions to Extra-Curricular Activities, the dummy database functionality, email merge, Class Marksheets and timetable. This release also contains the latest fields required to accommodate the UK 2016 ISC Census reports.

Double First is delighted to announce it has been shortlisted at the Bett Awards 2016, a real accolade at an event that attracts nearly 800 exhibitors, including major companies such as Google, Microsoft, HP and Samsung. Keynote speakers this year include Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.
The Bett Awards is, in the words of the organiser, "more difficult than ever to win" due to an increasing number of entries of high standard. Double First is in the running for the ICT Exporter of the Year category, a great recognition of progress made in working with key schools in countries around the world.

Significant interest in the Engage school management system by South African schools has prompted Double First to open its latest global sales and support office, in Johannesburg.
Engage School Management Systems in South Africa is a wholly owned operation that will provide a full range of implementation, support, training and sales services locally. It will serve schools throughout the Southern African region as well as working closely within the global Engage support network, which now operates for around 21 hours most days, six days per week.

The Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) is a schools association with around 650 of the world’s leading prep schools in membership. Double First has had a close working relationship with this body for many years and we are looking forward to visiting the Annual Heads' Conference at Celtic Manor, Newport, as a sponsor and attendee at the annual dinner on 29 September.
Themed 'Is Your School In Good Heart?', the conference will feature a wide range of presenters including General Sir Mike Jackson, Sir John Jones and Roy Blatchford. Broadcaster and journalist Matthew Parris will give the after dinner speach.
Brooke Hornby and one of Double First's latest recruits, Richard Riley, will be attending and look forward to meeting with all of the delegates.
